In today’s fast-changing tech world, how do you decide what skill to learn next? For me, Playwright felt like the right choice, and here’s why.
As a software tester focused on continuous learning, I’m excited to share my journey of exploring Playwright, a powerful end-to-end testing framework. Having already taken steps into automation, I’m now diving deeper into Playwright to expand my skill set. Through this blog series, I’ll be showcasing my learning process, daily progress, and experiences with Playwright.
🤔 Why Playwright? Why Am I Doing This?
As someone currently looking for new opportunities, I wanted to upskill and add automation to my testing toolkit. I chose Playwright because of its modern capabilities, speed, and ease of use compared to other automation tools. Learning Playwright is not just about enhancing my technical skills; it is also about challenging myself, staying relevant in the industry, and preparing for better opportunities in my career.
I have always believed in hands-on learning. Four years ago, I participated in 30 days challenges from the Ministry of Testing (MOT), an amazing community that truly supports testers at all levels. These challenges helped me gain practical experience, build confidence, and develop a hands-on learning mindset. (For anyone new to testing, I highly recommend checking out MOT’s 30 days challenges—they’re a fantastic way to learn and grow!)
That mindset has stayed with me, and now, I am applying the same approach to Playwright. By committing to daily learning and sharing my progress, I am holding myself accountable and creating a learning journey that others can follow.
💡What’s My Idea & How Do I Plan to Do This?
I have decided to post daily updates on LinkedIn and maintain a blog on Blogger, where I will share my progress and experiences as I learn Playwright.
📅My Plan:
✅ Share daily updates on LinkedIn, highlighting lessons, challenges, and insights from my Playwright learning journey.
✅ Document my journey on my blog to keep track of my progress and share real-world experiences with the testing community.
✅ Break down each step I take, from installation to writing my first test, making it beginner-friendly for anyone who wants to follow along.
Every expert was once a beginner, and I’m excited to share my journey with you all. 🚀 Let’s keep learning together!
Have you tried Playwright or any automation tool? If you’re also learning, let’s connect and grow together! 😊
